Kochi Metro is a newly inaugurated metro system for the south Indian city of Kochi in Kerala, India and is the fastest metro project in India in terms of completion time. The Kochi metro project became the first metro in the country which connects rail, road and water transport facilities. The new metro system will reduce traffic congestion, while providing safe and rapid transportation to commuters. In the tendering process, Zero Degree outbid competition to bag the rights on the Metro network’s piers, medians and portals under viaduct for a period of 7 years and the rights have been acquired on 1,080 piers, 1,080 medians, 20 portal piers and 20 portal beams which includes 16 Metro stations spread over 16.5 km.
